Fastjet Zimbabwe yesterday announced the introduction of an exclusive business premium product available on the Airbus A320-200 from August to September peak travel season.
The business chief executive and country head of Fastjet Zimbabwe, Mr Donahue Cortes, said the company remains committed to exceeding expectations.
“The introduction of a business premium product is part of our continued efforts to deliver customer needs and better serve our market,” he said.
“As we trial this aircraft type during this peak travel period, we are evaluating the response to our business premium product on these busy regional routes as we explore permanently introducing this aircraft type to our fleet in 2027.”
Mr Cortes said beyond supporting their immediate operational requirements, this deployment is an important strategic step.
“It allows us to evaluate the Airbus A320 within our network as part of our longer-term fleet development strategy.
“Subject to the outcome of this trial, we see the Airbus A320 becoming a permanent part of the fastjet Zimbabwe fleet from next year, supporting our continued growth and strengthening connectivity between Zimbabwe and the region,” he said.
Fastjet Zimbabwe chief commercial officer, Ms Vivian Ruwuya, said the business premium product will raise the bar and redefine business travel on these routes.
“We curated and designed a business class offering that is designed for the ultimate comfort and care for our premium guests travelling between Harare and Johannesburg, and Victoria Falls and Johannesburg.
“We are confident the product will resonate with business travellers, leisure guests seeking a premium experience, and customers who value greater comfort and personalised service,” she said.
