CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League side FC Platinum have mutually parted ways with head coach Joel Luphahla and members of his technical team, with the club naming South African Thabo Senong as his successor, subject to the completion of contractual and registration formalities.
The announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Zvishavane-based club as it seeks to strengthen its technical department for the remainder of the season.
In a statement, FC Platinum thanked Luphahla and his technical staff for their service and contribution to the club.
“FC Platinum has mutually parted ways with Head Coach Joel Luphahla and members of his technical staff.
“We would like to express our gratitude to Coach Luphahla and his team for their dedication, hard work and contributions to the Club, and we wish them continued success in their future endeavours,” reads the statement.
The club confirmed that Senong has been appointed as the new head coach, although his appointment remains subject to the completion of contractual and registration processes.
“The Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Thabo Senong as Head Coach, subject to the completion of contractual and registration formalities.”
“In the interim, Coaches Moses Mwafulira and Alexio Sigion will take charge of training and preparations for the team,” the statement said.
FC Platinum welcomed Senong to the club and expressed confidence in the new technical direction.
“We extend a warm welcome to Coach Senong as he joins the FC Platinum family, and we look forward to an exciting new chapter under his leadership.”
