BULAWAYO fans were left breathing fire after Afro-fusion songstress Feli Nandi “snubbed” the City of Kings on her national tour, but the Muti Watemwa hitmaker has moved in to cool tempers, promising a “grand show” is on the way.
The singer’s camp said Bulawayo was not deliberately left out, but venue challenges got in their way.
Her manager, Connie Mazani, said they have heard the loud cries from disgruntled fans and are working flat out to make things happen.
“We have seen complaints from our fans in Bulawayo who also want to witness Feli Nandi live on stage. I want to assure them that Bulawayo is definitely on the cards.

“We are just finalising venue bookings as most places were already taken on our available dates. We are working on it and we can’t wait to be in the City of Kings,” said Mazani.
Meanwhile, Feli Nandi is taking her tour across the country, with stops lined up in Kwekwe (May 9), Chegutu (May 16), Marondera (May 23), Gweru (May 24), Mutare (May 25), Masvingo (May 29) and Kadoma (June 14).
The nationwide shows are building up to her bold mission, filling up the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on August 14.
Dubbed the “Fill up HICC Concert,” the show is a daring move that has only been pulled off by a few.
Gospel star Janet Manyuka made history earlier this year with her “A Night of Thanksgiving” concert, packing the venue to capacity.
If Feli Nandi pulls it off, she will join heavyweights like Jah Prayzah and Winky D who have also filled up the 4 500-seater venue.
Mazani says all systems are go.
“Hosting this show has always been part of our growth plan, to challenge ourselves and push boundaries. It was in our three-year plan and now we have to deliver.
“Preparations are going well. We have started our campaign across different cities and towns, and we are looking forward to having fun with fans at HICC,” she said.
Feli Nandi, a celebrated singer, songwriter and fashion designer, has risen from being a backing vocalist for Mbeu and The Monzi Tribe, to a multi-award-winning solo artiste, cementing her place among Zimbabwe’s top contemporary musicians.
Her hard work is clearly paying off. She recently received a sleek Mercedes-Benz and a cash gift from businessman Wicknell Chivayo, a gesture her team says they deeply appreciate.
