As the Government intensifies its push for women to take up their space in both business and politics under the Second Republic, female entrepreneur Ms Victoria Tafirei of Tivic International has responded decisively, building, scaling and consolidating a multifaceted enterprise that is quickly winning recognition in local commerce.
A mother, wife and business leader, Ms Tafirei, together with her partner and husband who serves as co-director has taken on the challenges of a patriarchal business environment in Zimbabwe with determination.
Through consistent service delivery and an expanding portfolio, she is not only creating economic opportunity for herself, but also contributing to job creation and market diversification.
At the centre of her enterprise, Tivic International specialises in transport solutions and catering.
What began as a family operation has evolved into a growing small business, now employing a team of skilled staff and serving clients across a range of needs.
But Ms Tafirei insists her ambition extends beyond any single line of business.
Today, Tivic International’s interests also span computer consumables, information technology equipment, mobile phone supplies and construction.
This wider reach has positioned the brand as a versatile company designed to respond to varied customer demands, while maintaining the professionalism expected by clients who depend on timely, reliable service.
Speaking to The Sunday Mail, Ms Tafirei said her vision was bigger than her achievements so far.
She described herself as a self-driven entrepreneur who continues to reinvent her approach as she works toward building a lasting business empire.
“I am a self-motivated doer who doesn’t believe in stopping at anything until my dreams are achieved,” she said. “I have seen the world of endless possibilities through the stories of other achievers and I want to carve my own niche in that regard.
“It has not been an easy journey, but I am grateful for family and a supportive husband who has made life easier.”
Ms Tafirei said her leadership is anchored in a clear mission: to provide quality, custom goods and services that fulfil clients’ visions while exceeding expectations.
She emphasised that business growth at Tivic International is guided by best practices, strong standards and a commitment to delivering a dependable customer experience.
“We always want to deliver the best customer experience with each job opportunity we get, and I am glad that the feedback has been more than amazing to date,” said Ms Tafirei.

In day-to-day operations, Ms Tafirei continues to build on Tivic International’s core strengths, particularly events catering, events equipment hire and car hiring.
With a fleet of vehicles available for clients and tailored support for event needs, the business has carved out a reputation for excellence amid ongoing economic and operational challenges.
“Over the years, we have provided bespoke events catering services and equipment hire, while also ensuring that our clients get dependable car hire solutions from a fleet of vehicles available for hire,” she said.
“Excellence is our greatest motivation, and we always aspire to give the best. That is what has helped us make our mark despite limitations and challenges.”
With the business already established in transport and events-related markets, Ms Tafirei said she is now directing greater attention to business advisory, development consulting and project management.
She believes this next phase will allow her to add even greater value by offering clients structured guidance and effective delivery.
Ms Tafirei noted that more clients were beginning to engage her beyond the event and transport space.
“We are diversifying and ensuring that we also encompass business advisory, development consulting and project management and I am happy that we have already started recording success in that area,” she said.
Looking ahead, Ms Tafirei outlined a growth path that includes hiring additional staff to support expansion, introducing the Tivic model to other cities across Zimbabwe, and developing partnerships with local organisations to strengthen corporate strategies and deepen impact in communities.
“My belief is that with quality service and professionalism as the foundation, the business will keep transforming customers’ visions into unique experiences,” she said.

The enterprising businesswoman is also putting her skillset to good use with some consultancy services and has been recognised for her efforts by various awards boards.
“I chose purpose over limitation and am proud that l have built a legacy of impact,” she said.

“My work goes beyond consulting, I design and implement sustainable development solutions that empower individuals, strengthen communities and build resilient organisations.
“Through strategic guidance, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation and business development, I help turn challenges into meaningful, measurable growth.”
Ms Tafirei shared how her commitment to her culinary passion has also propelled her.
“That same commitment to excellence inspired me to pursue my lifelong passion for the culinary arts,” she said. “As a Professional Chef and Caterer, I have had the privilege of creating exceptional dining experiences where quality, creativity and service speak for themselves.
“I am deeply honoured to have been recognised with the 2026 Outstanding Food Caterer Award a milestone that reflects unwavering dedication, professionalism and the pursuit of excellence.”
Her ability to diversify has become a winning formula and she continues to operate sustainably.
“My entrepreneurial journey continued with the establishment of a reliable and fuel-efficient car hire service, providing practical mobility solutions for individuals and businesses,” said Ms Tafirei. “I also expanded into liquor supply, offering quality products backed by dependable service.”
