A FEMALE punter collapsed and died inside a betting house in the Central Business District of Bulawayo, after she reportedly started vomiting before placing a bet on Wednesday morning.
Bulawayo police have identified the deceased as Josephine Makiwa (41).
“The now deceased Josephine Makiwa, aged 41, of Mpopoma, entered into the betting house, sat on the chair, suddenly started vomiting and collapsed.
“She became unconscious, and the punters who were inside the shop called an ambulance, which pronounced her dead upon arrival,” said Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele.
