AT least 30 football administrators are expected to attend a two-day Fifa Level One administration course that starts tomorrow in Sanyati.

The bulk of the participants are likely to be drawn from the Zifa Central Region.

Certified Fifa instructor who is also the Premier Soccer League chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele as well as Caf trained instructor Brian Moyo are expected to facilitate the two-day course.

Zifa Central Region technical development coordinator John Marima is hopeful that football administrators from the region as well as school teachers will attend the course which is meant to improve the development of the sport.

“The course is meant to ensure that club administrators are professional and understand the laws of the game. We also expect that the Fifa Club Licensing statutes are adhered to in light of this administration course,” said Marima.

The country’s football mother body, Zifa, have in the past bemoaned lack of professionalism among its affiliates, arguing that has slowed down development of the game in the country.

Zifa are on a capacity building exercise, having organised similar courses in Bulawayo and Masvingo a few months ago. The programmes are aimed at equipping club and league administrators with the right knowledge.

Marima said the course fee is $35 and registration is still open.
