TODAY is a day for the Highlanders family to come together, paint Barbourfields Stadium black and white and celebrate a century of football history as Bosso host TelOne in their final home match of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
This is no ordinary league fixture. It is an opportunity for supporters to celebrate the institution they have stood behind for generations, give the players the backing they deserve and create an atmosphere that can carry the team into the Chibuku Super Cup final.
With the club marking its centenary year, Highlanders want today’s gathering at Emagumeni to reflect the size, history and passion of an institution that has remained an integral part of Zimbabwean football for 100 years.

Club chairman Kindman Ndlovu has made an impassioned appeal to the Bosso faithful to turn out in numbers, describing the encounter as an important moment in the club’s centenary celebrations and preparation for the cup final.
“This is not like any other game. We want to encourage our fans to come in their numbers to celebrate this day. They will play for the badge and try to give the supporters, who have been with us throughout the journey of reaching 100 years, a memorable day.
“We are also using this game to drum up support as we go into the Chibuku Super Cup final,” said Ndlovu.
The appeal is also a reminder that Highlanders’ strength has always been about more than the 11 players on the pitch. The supporters are part of the institution’s identity, and their presence today can provide the team with an important emotional lift.
For Benjani Mwaruwari’s charges, the task is to match that enthusiasm with a performance worthy of the occasion. The players have an opportunity to reward the faithful with a positive result before turning their attention to the Chibuku Super Cup final.
TelOne, however, will be keen to spoil the party, making the contest another important test for the hosts.
But the biggest picture today is the coming together of the Bosso family.
A century of history deserves a fitting celebration, and Barbourfields is where that celebration should happen.
Today, Barbourfields belongs to the Bosso family.
