Finding strength and purpose in Christ

“AND Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.’” — Matthew 28:18

Jesus holds all power and authority, not just in the spiritual realm, but also in the physical realm.

Just imagine what it means to have a relationship with Christ — the one who possesses all authority.

When we enter into a relationship with Jesus, we are not just believers; we become friends and partners with the King of Kings.

This partnership means that we can rely on His power to navigate the complexities of life.

In our daily struggles, whether they are personal, professional or spiritual, we are not alone.

The one who commands the universe is right by our side.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9, we learn that His grace is sufficient for us and His power is made perfect in our weakness. This means that, in moments when we feel inadequate or overwhelmed, we can lean on His strength, knowing that His power is always available.

“If God is for us, who can be against us?”

We face fears and adversities with confidence because we are in a relationship with the One who has conquered all. We are in partnership with the champion therefore we are guaranteed of winning.

As friends of Christ, we are called to live purposefully, impacting our communities and the world with His love and power. By aligning ourselves with His will, we become conduits of His power, bringing hope and change to those around us; “As He is so are we”.

Although in the land of Canaan was milk and honey, there also were giants in there.

As we move into 2025, we will find ourselves in a time of both challenges and opportunities.  Economic uncertainties, social upheavals, and personal struggles may surround us.

However, our relationship with the all-powerful God means that we can approach these issues with hope and assurance of conquering.

Knowing that He has all authority encourages us to trust Him for our needs, whether  financial, emotional, physical or spiritual.

He is our provider and we can step into the new year with faith. With Christ’s authority backing us, we can dream big and pursue His calling on our lives. We are not limited by our circumstances but are empowered to make a difference in our families, communities, workplaces and beyond. Let’s always remember that we have received the privilege of knowing and partnering with the all-powerful God.

This relationship transforms our fears into faith and our weaknesses into strength.

As we sail through the journey of life in 2025, let us hold on to the promise that we are not just acquaintances of Christ; we are His friends, empowered by His authority to impact the world around us.

Believe in the one with power and watch how your life changes!

He is the all-powerful, all-knowing and ever present God. Those who trust in Him shall never be put to shame.
