A quick reaction by the Fire Brigade saved the day for Harare City Council after some brand-new sewer pipes caught fire in Kuwadzana 6.

Only a few of the pipes were burnt after the fire brigade managed to save the bulk of the pipes.

City of Harare spokesperson, Mr Stanley Gama, said they suspect that the fire could have been started by some vagrants.

“Fortunately the Fire Brigade intervened on time and controlled the fire,” he said.
