A fire destroyed a building in Bindura, reducing property worth thousands of dollars to ashes.

The blaze started around 9 pm last night, shortly after the electricity supply was restored following a period of load shedding.

The building, formerly used by TOPICS was now housing small to medium enterprises.

All the wares in the shop were destroyed by the fire.

Bindura Business Community chairperson, Richard Phiri expressed dismay at the Bindura fire brigade team for their failure to douse the flames despite the recent acquisition of state-of-the-art fire tenders from Belarus.
