THE Midlands province is geared for First Lady Cde Grace Mugabe’s rally at Mataga Growth point today, acting Zanu-PF provincial chairperson, Cde Kizito Chivamba, said yesterday.

The First Lady yesterday addressed party supporters in Harare and will head to Mashonaland East tomorrow to interact with the people.

“I was on the ground yesterday and everything is set. The tents have been pitched and it’s all systems go ahead of the First Lady’s address,” said Cde Chivamba.

He said the province has been mobilising for the rally for the past week and huge numbers are expected to turn up today.

“Buses were sent to other districts to ferry people to the rally. A lot of people from the entire province have expressed so much interest in coming to listen to the First Lady. The buses will be there to ferry those from remote districts,” said Cde Chivamba.

“There are areas closer to the venue like Zvishavane and surrounding areas that we also expect to come in large numbers. We’re also organising trucks because of the interest expressed by the people, they’ve said they’re willing to come in trucks even if it rains just to listen to the First Lady.”

The First Lady has already visited Manicaland, Mashonaland Central, West and Matabeleland North.
