Five family members killed in night attack in Guruve

Five members of the same family from Ona Mapeto Farm in Ward 21, Guruve, were murdered on Sunday night in a brutal attack.

The victims are a 66-year-old mother, her 40-year-old son, a 37-year-old daughter, and two grandchildren aged 5 and 2.

 

The family was attacked at their homestead, where they sustained fatal stab wounds.

 

Neighbours who heard screams rushed to the scene to offer assistance and found the son still alive.

 

He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

 

The motive for the attack is not yet known, and so far, 14 people have been murdered in Guruve in separate incidents since October this year.
