KYLIAN MBAPPE’S transfer to Real Madrid has left a massive void for Paris Saint-Germain (France) to fill next season. The Frenchman (25), joins the Spanish giants on a five-year contract after finally securing his dream move to the Bernabeu.
He leaves the Paris outfit behind after scoring 256 goals in 308 games. And now PSG bosses are mulling over options to replace the World Cup superstar this summer. They have been linked with a variety of options, including a Manchester United talisman, a Napoli duo and an Arsenal transfer target.
Below, we look at five options PSG might consider, to replace Mbappe.
Marcus Rashford has a massive decision to make on his future this summer after a below par season at Man Utd. PSG have previously shown interest in the 26-year-old, and with Mbappe now no longer occupying his favourite position on the left side of attack, it may prove to be fruitful transfer for both teams.
Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would be a more pure wide option for PSG. Despite Napoli’s overall struggles this season, the Georgian winger still managed to chip in with 20 goals in all contributions, and according to L’Equipe he could be signed for £85million.
Benjamin Sesko has attracted interest from Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United, but could end up at the Parc des Princes if PSG decide to make a big money play for the highly-rated 21-year-old. Sesko netted 18 goals for RB Leipzig last season and has a release clause worth a relatively small £55m, which lasts until the end of June.
One surprise move the club may make could be the trusting of the players already at the club with the likes of Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani. To supplement them the club may move to sign an experienced head in the form of Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, who scored nine goals in 51 appearances across two years with the club, many of which came off the bench.
Another option PSG have at their disposal from Napoli is frontman, Victor Osimhen, who club Aurelio De Laurentiis has already confirmed will be leaving this summer. Like Sesko, he has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League, and the new deal he signed in December has the Nigerian’s release clause set at £113m. (Source: www.thesun.co.uk)
