Focus is on Euros

PARIS. — Didier Deschamps admitted that last November’s attacks were on everyone’s minds on the eve of his side’s return to the Stade de France, but they were determined to get on with the job of preparing for Euro 2016 soccer finals.

“You don’t forget, but you have to move forward,” said Deschamps as the Euro 2016 prepared to play an international friendly against Russia in Paris last night.

The game against Russia was the first football international since the France versus Germany game on November 13 last year. That night 130 people were killed in a series of attacks across the French capital with suicide bombers detonating explosives outside the Stade de France, killing one person and injuring dozens. — AFP.
