Former Agric perm sec Chitsiko dies

Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement Engineer Ringson Chitsiko has died. 

He died yesterday morning. 

The cause of his death was yet to be established by the time of going to print. The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr John Basera, confirmed the death. 

“In loving memory of our former PS, Eng Ringson Chitsiko, we are saddened to announce his passing on this morning (yesterday),” said Dr Basera. 

“Colleagues, I’m really shattered, to say the least. We have lost a fountain of wisdom and knowledge in agriculture, lands and water related issues. 

“He laid the solid foundations for agriculture transformation, together with the late Hon. Minister, Air Chief Marshall Perrance Shiri.”
