FORMER Highlanders Football Club coach Try Ncube has taken his bags to the capital after signing a renewable one-year contract with Harare City, who are plying in the Zifa Northern Region Division One League.
Club officials said Ncube will be tasked with guiding the club back to the PSL in 2027.

“Ncube is now our head coach whose main brief is to lead the club back to the PSL come 2027. He is still to present his backroom staff to us as he is finalising that aspect. It was never true, as it still remains untrue that we bought Hunters FC franchise. Ncube has a one-year renewable contract,” said the club’s legal secretary, Justice Masitala, speaking to Zimpapers.

Harare City have failed to reclaim a topflight ticket since their relegation at the end of the 2022 season.
They finished fifth in the Northern Region Division One last season, finishing on 57 points, 31 points behind league winners Agama FC.
