FORMER Dynamos and national soccer team midfielder Leo Kurauzvione yesterday approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against his ex-wife whom he said is in the habit of verbally abusing him. Kurauzvione told the court that Primrose Muchiriri was used to scolding him using obscene language in public. He said he lost his job because of Muchiriri after she came at his workplace peddling lies about him to his boss.
“I want the court to give me a protection order against her because she is verbally abusing me whenever we meet,” said Kurauzvione.
“I feel embarrassed because whenever she starts insulting me she doesn’t even care whether we are in a public place or not. I am now a jobless man because of her. She must leave me and my new family alone.
“Even my relatives are no longer living in peace as she is in the habit of calling them on their mobile phones and insulting them for no reason. She is failing to understand that I am now a father of a new family and I love my new wife.”
Muchiriri did not turn up at the court.
The magistrate Ms Gamuchirai Siwardi granted the protection order in default which barred her from verbally or physically abusing Kurauzvione.
She also ordered Muchiriri to stop calling Kurauzvione on the phone.
