Former lecturer seeks to register US$84 000 award

has approached the High Court seeking to register the award.
Through his lawyers, Matsikidze and Mucheche Mr Takavafira Zhou made a chamber application for registration of the judgment in terms of the provisions of the Labour Act.
In the application Mr Zhou submitted that he was granted an order in his favour on June 6, 2010.
According to the order, he said it stated that Great Zimbabwe University pays him US$84 600 being damages within seven days.
Despite demand, the university has neglected or refused to pay him as per the Labour Court order.
Mr Zhou also submitted that the university never contested or appealed against the court order
Great Zimbabwe University is yet to respond to the application, which will be heard before Justice Susan Mavangira in due course.
