This comes after Bulawayo for the second year running has failed to have a representative in the national Ms and Mr Novice competition that is taking place today in
Harare at the Pro-Fitness Gym. Chaipa who also owns Body Active Health Studio said athletes in Bulawayo were reluctant to participate in the competition. “Our athletes this side lack confidence because they are of the view that athletes from Harare have an edge over them,” he said.
Chaipa also said another challenge facing the athletes was lack of sponsorship. The former Matabeleland champion urged all the Bulawayo bodybuilders who want to make it to start from the bottom as there was no short cut to success.
