Four cheat death in Hwange train and bus collision

FOUR people survived after a company bus was smashed by a train at a level crossing in Hwange on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 9 am in the railway area.

According to witnesses, the 72-seater bus belonging to a local coal mining company attempted to cross the railway line as an oncoming train approached.

The driver reportedly tried to beat the train.

The resulting collision saw the train strike the centre of the bus.

The bus was carrying only the driver and three passengers at the time, all of whom survived the horrific impact.

Emergency services have attended to the scene.
