Four injured in armed clash in Tripoli

The clash between fighters from the western city of Misrata and those from Tripoli occurred outside a security compound with bullets and grenades ripping through the streets.

One local resident said the two sides exchanged fire when the Misrata men were denied admission to the security compound.
Another witness said the clash erupted when the Misrata militants attempted to rescue some detainees from the building.

Though the civil war ended in Libya months ago, militiamen across the country have not yet been disarmed and demobilised, with some militia groups still stationed in the capital city. — Xinhua.
