FRANK Chirisa is set to host the Harare edition of Funny Stories That Heal in November at the Theatre In The Park in a bid to promote mental health awareness.

Funny Stories That Heal started on 30 September 2022 and is about mental health awareness. The key message is bringing to light mental health challenges and using comedy to address them.

Chirisa said he was excited about the show as it will be his first show in Harare as a headliner.

“On 7 November 2024, we will be having the Harare edition of Funny Stories That Heal. I am excited as this will be the first time having a show in Harare as a headliner not as a featured act. I hope to have about 200 or more people at the show,” he said.

Chirisa stated that he was looking forward to working with a number of great comedians.

“I am looking forward to working with my favourite comedians that entail Tanya Alex, Tinashe Fortune, Patrick SP and MC Josh. In the show, there will be performances from some of the artists from Bulawayo like Sisa and Absoll Luz,” he said.

He stated that they were set to have marketing campaigns in a number of schools in Harare.

“In October, we will be having campaigns in colleges and universities for the show. Marketing is easier in Harare because I am already entering spaces where there are systems in place,” he said.
