Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, in partnership with Hunan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from China, is offering free early detection and treatment for cervical cancer.

The hospital said in statement that the programme will run from today to May 19.

The hospital said it was targeting 1 000 women aged between 30 and 65 and registration will be at the hospital’s family planning clinic.

“We are inviting those women who have never gone for cervical cancer screening in the past three years or have never been screened,” said the hospital.

“Women with symptoms suggestive of cervical cancer are not candidates for the screening.”

The programme is running under the theme “health of a woman is health of the family, is health of the nation”.
