Brazilian award-winning music producer and DJ Doozie (real name Rodrigo Kost) has heaped praise on local artiste Msiz’kay, describing him as “incredible to work with” after they collaborated on a new single titled, Sinnerman.

The captivating single that promises to conquer dance floors and playlists around the world is set to be released today, with an acoustic reinterpretation of the song set to be released on April 11.

The track will be available on all digital platforms, creating a new slate in global Afro-House, but above all, representing the union between Brazil and Zimbabwe in a sound that breaks cultural barriers.

A combination of Afro percussion, synthesisers and an addictive groove, the single is a sound journey that overflows with emotion and energy, with lyrics that inspire and bring identification to those who seek to overcome in life.

From his base in Brazil, Doozie said he has been playing the song on his sets and he believes that it is going to be a hit as it always keeps revellers on their feet every time he plays it.

“I usually open my sets with this song and the audience’s reaction is as if they’ve known it for a long time,” Doozie said.

“Producing it in partnership with Msiz’kay was incredible. He came up with the lyrics and when I heard the vocals for the first time, the whole song came to me. I tried to make it very percussive and danceable for the audience, and the result was magical.

“Proof of this is the audience’s reaction in every place I play it. It definitely represents a turning point in my international career. It’s a very special sound.”

Msiz’kay, who registered himself on the international music scene last year when he made numerous tours including appearances on a number of events in the United Kingdom, said the song is an online collaboration that came about after Doozie reached out to him after witnessing his incredible work.

He said the song is about faith and redemption.

“Sinnerman is a song about finding faith and redemption before it’s too late,” he said.

“Working with DJ Doozie was an exciting experience and an opportunity to experiment with a new sound and musical concept, as well as a big step towards strengthening Afro-Brazilian ties.”

With extensive international experience at major festivals worldwide, the Brazilian producer is renowned for his residencies at prestigious electronic music clubs. By crafting unique soundscapes that blend elements from various house music genres, Doozie has established himself as a leading figure in both the national and international electronic music scene.
