BULAWAYO famed prophet Dr Thabiso Ngwenya who was last year awarded two honorary degrees on Sunday graduated with an academic one this time after being capped with a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Leadership.
He graduated after completed his studies with the United States based Logos University which is one of the universities which honored his work last year in June.
Dr Ngwenya who heads the Faith Christ International Church was last year honored for his work in the religious sphere by two United States based universities.
The Maxilass University awarded him a Doctor of Divinity honorary Degree and the Logos University honored him with a Doctor of Social and Leadership Management honorary degree.
Dr Ngwenya was capped at a ceremony conducted in South Africa.
Commenting on his achievements, Dr Ngwenya said the journey towards the completion of his PhD studies was a challenging but fantastic experience.
“I am happy to have been earned this one this time. It was quite a challenging but a fantastic experience at the same time. The desire to boost my education profile motivated me,” said the prophet who is a retired teacher.
Dr Ngwenya said he had to juggle between his busy spiritual calling which sees him attend to people throughout the week and attending the online lessons.
He said his education journey is also meant to motivate youths to value education.
“I used to read after church so that I keep pace with others. As a community leader it is important that we be good role models to youths so that we inspired them to value education and hard work which are critical ingredients for success,” he said.
Despite his popularity in the country and beyond, Dr Ngwenya remains a humble figure.
His operations include the popular “bombing” method of dealing with one`s problems at a site in Pumula South suburb where he operates from.
