that her husband, Courage Mashavave, resigned so that he could focus on other business commitments.
“I am no longer her manager because of the pressure at work. However, there will be a new manager who shall be running her day-to-day music business,” Mashavave said.
He is employed by TN Holdings, a diversified financial services, medical and luxury furniture firm.
Fungisai, as her fans fondly call her, is expecting her third child.
Her last performance was when she turned up for the 21st February Movement Gala in Harare where she defied her bulging tummy to deliver a polished act.
She has previously recorded albums that she has named after her children.
The singer says she has no intention of taking a break from her music career and fashion design owing to family commitments.
The “Toita Zvedenga” singer said she was inspired by family and God to keep on with her career.
“God gives us a family knowing that we should make a difference in their lives and this is what inspires me most.
“Being a mother won’t stop me from singing or designing clothes, but it actually motivates and inspire me,” she said.
“I am expecting baby number three and my family is really excited about the blessing. We treasure children as gifts from God and its also Biblical to bear children,” said the 30-year-old diva in a recent interview.
Fungisai recently released a new album titled “Highway” whose release coincided with that of another talented gospel star Mercy Mutsvene’s album, “Tongai”.
Highway carries songs like “Anodaidza Ezekiel”, “Pemberai Gore Rapera”, “For-ward in Faith”, “Handineti Kutenda”, “Jesu Anouya”, “Zuva Rekuguma” and “Kurarama Ndimi”.
She also made waves with her 2009 album “Chandisimudza” which she laun-ched together with her clothing line, Nysa at a colourful ceremony in the capital.
Fungisai also has a string of successful albums under her belt.
