HIGHLANDERS Football Club striker Gabriel Nyoni’s Nust SRC presidential campaign launch brought the house down at Club Forty 40 on Friday night with Harare strippers Spider and the Naked Weapons leaving revellers begging for more.
As part of his campaign, Nyoni, 22, a fourth-year marketing student, hosted the strippers at the joint at a party dubbed College Manifesto Bash.
The Bulawayo nightspot seems to have struck the right chord with students as they came out in their numbers to support their colleague in his bid to be SRC president.
The night began with a brief speech by Nyoni thanking his supporters for coming to the bash and urging them to vote for him in elections sometime this month.
Also in support were Nyoni’s Bosso teammates Mthulisi Maphosa, Simon Munawa and Bruce Kangwa.
The pint-sized speed merchant was seated at the front of the stage, which was designated as a VIP lounge, as he watched the show with members of his party.
The strip show started at 11PM and as soon as the lights on the stage went on, it was cleared and revellers rushed to the front to watch the much anticipated entertainment.
During that time, Nyoni would watch attentively while mixing and mingling with his university mates as they came to give words of encouragement or just to shake his hand.
Nyoni watched the festivities until 1AM and left as he said he wanted to rest because he spent the whole day campaigning.
The four strippers took over and kept the crowd on the edge of their seats with the nightspot’s bouncers having a torrid time keeping order around the dance floor.
The students, eager to get a closer look, would from time to time encroach onto the dance floor and the strippers would stop gyrating while the bouncers cleared the dance floor.
As part of the entertainment, one of the half naked dancers took a candle and inserted it into her private parts amid wild cheers from the crowd.
One of the male revellers was called on stage by a heavily tattooed dancer who allowed him to touch her privates with his friends urging him on.
In between the striptease, DJs Mzoe, Ally Touch and Binnola kept the dance floor packed with their selection of house, hip hop and Zimdancehall.
