Gamecocks dominate monthly awards

CHICKEN Inn might have crashed to a huge defeat at the weekend but they have a reason to smile.

The Gamecocks dominated the Castle Premier League awards for last month.

Joey Antipas took the Coach of the Month award. Forward Brian Muza was named the Player of the Month.

Antipas guided his men to two wins in June before the season break.

They beat Triangle 1-0 and hammered Cranborne Bullets 4-1.

Muza has been one of the key players for the Gamecocks and is now on 10 goals.

He is second only to William Manondo of CAPS United, who is leading the Golden Boot race, with 11 goals.

Chicken Inn are second in the championship race with 38 points, two points adrift of leaders FC Platinum.

Chicken Inn are away at Tenax on Sunday.
