‘Games promote unity in army’

COMMANDER of the Presidential Guard Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe says sport plays a crucial role in developing the country’s defence forces. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the annual Mechanised Brigade Sports Week, Sanyatwe said sport was an educational and entertainment tool and the military should not be left out. “The sports week you are concluding today is of great significance in that it promotes teamwork and physical fitness and it also continues to play a big role in the army as a recreational endeavour,

“Sport is important in that it plays a crucial role in developing the soldiers and helping them to improve interaction between officers and men,” said Sanyatwe.
The sports week got underway on Monday at the Inkomo Barracks.
