Sungura musician, Romeo Gasa, is expected back home next week after starving his fans of shows for seven months.
The 2007 Chibuku Road To Fame winner left Harare in December last year to be with his wife who is working in the UK.
Speaking to The Herald Arts from his UK base, Gasa said he is ready to return home.
“I will be back home next week after some months here,” he said.
“All is well here but I miss my fans back home who have always been in touch with me. We have lined up some homecoming shows, next week I will be in Harare.”
Gasa said he was homesick.
“Home is always the best and I cannot wait to meet my fans and band members. I was here trying to fend for my family and I am not the first one who has been abroad looking for greener pastures.
“I am grateful to all my fans who have been loyal during my absence.”
Gasa boasts of successful albums that include “Sungura Compressor”, “Bho Zvekuti”, “Simbi Hombe”, “Pin Code” and “Phone Yababa Imhiripiri”, among others.
