Gems beat Barbados in practice match

THE Gems emerged winners in their training match against Barbados today as they continued with their preparations for the Netball World Cup.

The match ended 67-34 in favour of the Gems. Today’s game was their second, after playing England on Sunday.

They take on Wales on Wednesday in their last practice match, ahead of the global showpiece that gets underway on Friday and runs until August 6 in Cape Town, South Africa.
