Generations: The Legacy actor ties the knot

“I WISH my parents were here to witness this special day when I tie the knot!”

These were the words of Tumelo Matlala on his wedding day on Sunday.

The actor, who plays Detective Roberts on Generations: The Legacy, married his fiancee of three years Ziphelele Beku in a traditional ceremony.

The wedding took place at Ziphelele’s home in King Williams Town, Eastern Cape.

The couple met at a church music concert in Springs, Ekurhuleni, three years ago.

“It was love at first sight,” gushed Tumelo, saying they first saw each other 10 years ago but never took much notice of each other. “We never spoke or interacted but in 2016 the love just erupted,” he said.

The actor from Duduza, also in Ekurhuleni, said he had never been this happy before.

“I’m blessed. She changed my life for the better. She’s my soulmate, friend and everything I need from a woman,” he said.

He said both his parents were dead. “I wish they were still alive to experience this exciting moment,” he said.

Ziphelele said she was over the moon about the wedding.

“Tumelo is a loving and family-orientated person. Love drove us this far. We cannot wait to start our own family.” – Online
