Geo Pomona Waste Management is, today, set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ghana’s Jospong Group of Companies in a move expected to strengthen waste management collaboration between the two entities.
In a statement, Geo Pomona confirmed that its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, will tour Jospong facilities today, after which the MoU will be signed.
“Please note that the CEO and Executive Chairman of Geo Pomona has landed in Accra, Ghana,” reads the statement.
“Geo Pomona is signing an MOU with a Ghanaian waste management company called Jospong Group of Companies.”
The Jospong Group is one of Ghana’s largest and most diversified conglomerates.
“With over 60 subsidiaries, the Jospong Group of Companies is one of the most diversified holdings companies in Ghana with operations in Africa and Asia,” reads the statement.
“The Jospong Group has carved a niche for itself as being the solution to waste management problems that befall developing countries in Africa.”
Geo Pomona has positioned the agreement as a significant development for its operations and future partnerships.
The signing ceremony is expected to take place during a scheduled tour of Jospong facilities.
“Tomorrow the President will be touring Jospong together with the Chairman where the MOU will be signed,” the statement added.
