The good old days are set to be revived once again through music at the much-awaited Private School event taking place in Bulawayo on Sunday.

The gathering will take place at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Produce Hall in Bulawayo, featuring various DJs spinning strictly old-school RnB, reggae and Hip-Hop tracks.

Now in its third edition, the event promises to be a memorable experience, with organisers confident that attendees will have the time of their lives. DJs slated to perform include DJ Ras Obi, Possenti Sikosana, Nospa Chekaz, DJ Eugy, Kead Wikead, Jayza, Feel G, Bryce, and DJ Klasiq.

Anesu Ngwenya, one of the event organisers, expressed excitement about the upcoming edition, the second this year.

“Private School on the 13th will be the third edition since premiering last December. We expect a larger turnout this time, as the event has gained popularity, and many people are increasingly inquiring about it,” Ngwenya said.

“The event is unique in that it attracts a mature crowd, and the energy is intimate.”

DJ Ras Obi promised a night of fireworks for old-school music fans.

“As usual, I’ll dish out the best old-school music. I can’t wait to see everyone hit the dance floor. I’ll definitely set the roof on fire, as always,” he said.

Attendees have previously complemented the atmosphere by donning old-school fashion, enhancing the nostalgic vibe of the event.

At the July edition, organisers arranged board games, sparking friendly challenges and fostering a spirit of unity among attendees. To enhance the fun, patrons were allowed to bring their own cooler boxes for a nominal fee, while various food and drink stalls offered a range of refreshments at affordable prices. The same lively atmosphere is expected this Sunday.
