TODAY few dare to chase their passion and leave a lasting impact in the world but there are a few individuals who do and that’s where Talent Mduduzi Sibanda, affectionately known as “Giantbarber” comes in.
The story begins in 2017 when Talent would accompany his mother to the salon where she worked as a hairdresser. Little did he know that these humble beginnings would shape his destiny.
‘It all started with escorting my mother to the salon, as I would watch and learn how other barbers did their haircuts. My passion for hair grew day by day,” he said.
From those early days of observation, he honed his skills under the guidance of experienced barbers.
They nurtured his talent until he could confidently make a name for himself in the world of hairdressing.
Giantbarber’s prowess as a beautician extraordinaire is now widely recognised, with his impeccable taste capturing the attention of Bulawayo’s elite.
At the youthful age of 23, he counts socialites like Ben Chest, Marvelous Nakamba, Mzoe7, Wildfire Deejay, and André the Vocalist among his clientele.
Speaking with the renowned male model, Ben Chest, he praises Giantbarber as one of his trusted barbers. Ben Chest highlights Giantbarber’s keen eye for detail, understanding of individual preferences, modest pricing, and convenient location in the city centre.
“I recall going to Ghana once for modelling, and Giantbarber gave me a neat and professional trim.

“My goal is to grow as a barber and be able to cut hair internationally one day,” said Giantbarber.
