GIFT OF THE GAB

LONDON. − THE son of Match of the Day host Gabby Logan has revealed how he has begged her to stop discussing her sex life on podcasts.

Reuben Logan, the rugby star son of TV presenter Gabby, 52, and former Scotland rugby international Kenny, spoke about how a discussion on The Mid Point podcast has resulted in the discussion being played in the gym at his rugby club.

In 2022, Kenny was diagnosed with prostate cancer and received treatment before undergoing a successful operation.

Following his recovery, Kenny, 53, appeared alongside Gabby on her podcast, where they had a candid discussion about the aftermath of treatment, including sexual health.

According to research, as many as 76 per cent of men suffer from erectile dysfunction after being treated for prostate cancer.

And despite the wider positives of spreading awareness and open discussion about the sensitive topic – during which Gabby revealed Kenny was “still fully functioning” – Reuben admitted he has got some stick over the conversations.

Reuben told the Telegraph tongue-in-cheek: “I will openly say now that I said: ‘Can. You. Please. Stop’.

“I remember being in the gym at Saints and the podcast was being played for half the gym session. It was only my second or third month there!

“I did not know that that podcast had happened until I had heard it and I remember saying to her: ‘What have you been talking about online?’

“‘It’s good!’ she said. I said: ‘I’m sure it is but you do have a late-teenage son in a rugby environment, so you have to think about that!’ The Sun
