A 14-YEAR-OLD girl gave birth on her own after concealing her pregnancy.
The girl, who cannot be named for ethical reasons, gave birth to a baby boy in her bedroom on 8 September.
Her parents heard strange noises from her bedroom then went to check and found the baby lying on the floor.
The girl is a Form Two pupil at Montrose High School.
Her mysterious delivery came out in court when her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend appeared in court for having sexual intercourse with a minor.
He pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody for sentencing.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the juvenile, said they were overcome by feelings hence engaged in the act without a condom.
a�?She was my girlfriend. We got carried away one day and failed to control our feelings,a�? said the boyfriend.
Prosecutor Petros Shoko said the two were neighbours and were in a relationship last year.
The girl revealed information about her newborn, leading to the arrest of the man.
