Giving a baby a new lease of life

Today, I borrow from Maya Angelou when she said, “People will forget what you said. They will forget what you did. But they will never forget how you made them feel.”In a bid to save Baby Manqoba Mabhena’s life, the response by Zimbabweans (local and abroad) and other global citizens has been encouraging and we truly appreciate your kindness and act of giving. With only two weeks left before her scheduled liver transplant at SPS Hospital in India, we are still appealing for funding towards the surgery.

In the meantime, as the Mabhena family, we would like to convey our gratitude to individuals, corporates, St Mary’s School in Mutare, families and everyone else who have organised fund-raising events and contributed towards giving Baby Manqoba another chance at life. A total amount of US$50 000 is required to cover surgery (US$43 000), air fares, visa fees and any eventualities.

Other ways to assist Baby Manqoba in getting a new lease of life are:
Online via GoFundMe, campaign titled New Liver for baby Manqoba
