THE Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has announced the summer crops and winter wheat incentive planning prices as the grain marketing season started on Tuesday.
In an X post, GMB said maize and traditional grains will be bought at US$376, 48 per tonne, soya bean at US$580 and sunflower at US$668, 98 per tonne.
The winter wheat incentive planning price has been set at US$451, 35 per tonne.
Last year, producer prices were pegged at US$390 per tonne for maize and traditional grains, US$713 per tonne for sunflower and US$620 per tonne for soya bean.
The GMB will primarily purchase produce from farmers financed under the Presidential Input Programme (PIP) and irrigation schemes.
