IT was a scene straight out of a horror film — a blazing wreck, a car somersaulting five times, and flames licking the mangled metal.

But somehow, award-winning actress and filmmaker Charlene Mangweni-Furusa and her husband Tafadzwa “Croft” Furusa walked away… alive.
The power couple of Zimbabwe’s film and media scene, together with a brother of theirs, cheated death last month in a terrifying car crash that could have turned fatal.

Speaking through a heartfelt Facebook post, Charlene revealed that their vehicle hit a large rock deliberately placed on the road, sending them veering off, flipping multiple times, before coming to a stop in flames.
“We counted about five rolls. The police and doctors couldn’t believe we walked out with no major injuries,” she wrote.
The couple miraculously crawled out of the burning wreck with minor injuries — a survival they chalk up to nothing but divine intervention.
“Never take lightly your conversations with God. He kept us,” Charlene shared, crediting their habit of prayer before every journey as their saving grace.
The car? A write-off.
The faith? Stronger than ever.
Charlene and Croft, founders of Motion Zebra Productions, are known for their creative work on films like “See Me” and several hit music videos — but this real-life drama has topped them all.
As news of the crash spread, an outpouring of love flooded their inboxes from fans, friends, and family.
“To everyone who became a force around us during this time, thank you,” she added.
B-Metro Verdict: From near-death to divine testimony — this was no stunt double escape. The Furusas are living proof that miracles still happen.
