GONE BELE UP

HARRY KANE was consoled by Bayern Munich team-mate Manuel Neuer and boss Vincent Kompany after his side’s agonising Champions League semi-final defeat to PSG.

The England captain netted in stoppage time against the Parisiens but it wasn’t enough to book a final against old foes Arsenal.

PSG secured a 6-5 aggregate win after Ousmane Dembele scored in the opening three minutes of the game at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern were hopeful of turning the tie around after a pulsating 5-4 defeat to the Ligue 1 side last week.

But their Champions League journey will end after a heroic run that has seen Bayern celebrated as one of the top sides in Europe.

Ex-Tottenham man Kane cut a devastated figure at full time as he buried his face in his shirt.

He was seen covering his eyes while getting a hug from veteran shot-stopper Neuer.

Kompany also gave the forward a pat on the chest as Bayern’s glum stars clapped the home fans.

It’s not all doom and gloom for Kane, however. After failing to make the final, it means Bayern’s season finishes next weekend.

After playing the final Bundesliga game against Cologne on May 16, he will have another chance to win a trophy against Stuttgart in the German Cup final on May 23.

He will then have more than three weeks before England play their first World Cup clash against Croatia on June 17.

Kane became just the second player to score in six consecutive Champions League knockout games after Cristiano Ronaldo between 2012 and 2013.

The gutted star didn’t speak to the media after the game, but Neuer did address reporters to admit his side weren’t clinical enough.

Neuer said: “I think we didn’t have the killer instinct in attack today, but ultimately we did have the opportunities to win the game.

“We didn’t have many clear-cut chances, but when you do get those moments… look at Paris – they were simply killers, scoring five goals the way they did in the first leg.

“That’s exactly what we needed today. And I think you could see that we were actually close to reaching the final, but we weren’t able to finish the job.” Sun
