BLACK Rhinos goalkeeper Lennon Gonese’s season is over.
The goalkeeper, who has been frozen out of the army side, is unlikely to play for coach Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera team.
Sources have been saying Gonese is being punished for trying to force his way out of the club and join rivals Scottland.
During his time as the first-choice ‘keeper, ‘Chauya Chipembere’ only lost three matches in 24 games.
“I think his season is over after he was omitted again during last week’s one-all draw against Banket United.
“He is frustrated and I am sure he is waiting for the season to end so that he makes a move if the tension continues.
“He has great potential and has been with the team for some time even when the team was in the Premier League where he made a name for himself by saving some crucial penalties.
“He had a fallout with the coach and he is being sidelined, which is affecting his career.
“I think he can fit into any Premier League side considering his potential.
“The situation is tough for the player and he believes he will resuscitate his career somewhere else next season.”
