ZIMBABWEAN cruiserweight boxing sensation Chamunorwa “Sting” Gonorenda is two fights away from a world title fight following his latest exploits in the ring.

Last week, his Congolese boxer Tshanda Tshams, who had challenged his WBF All-Africa Cruiserweight title, developed some cold feet and did not turn up for the title bout.

Gonorenda went on to fight Didier Nyembe and won the fight with the boxer he previously defeated in South Africa last year.

“Like I said before, my aim is to get a world title fight and these bouts are just a formality. I do not have a match among these guys on the continent.

“I am disappointed with these guys who challenge someone and at the end of the day they do not want to fight.

“But guys like Nyembe are real boxers. They are always ready to get into the ring and fight at any time.

“For the world title fight, I am just waiting to get a chance to fight there and show people that I am really part of the big boys.

“These tournaments are small and I am confident I will get to the world title fight,” said Gonorenda.
