RISING Zimbabwe UFC welterweight, Themba “The Bomber” Gorimbo, seeks one more fight before the end of the year.
Gorimbo recently defeated American Nico Price via a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27), securing his fourth consecutive Octagon victory.
Prior wins include a points’ decision against Ramiz Brahimaj and a 32-second TKO against Pete Rodriguez.
Gorimbo expressed eagerness for an imminent fight.
“Open for business in December or latest January 11th. Anybody who wishes to get down to business please say my name, let’s work. I feel like fighting once every month now.
“For the first time in a long time, I feel like fighting is actually fun. No pressure, just fighting. Felt like I just drove to Xtreme to spar but actually was at Apex. Felt good. Feeling good. No injuries. Let’s go again,” said Gorimbo.
Gorimbo’s journey began with his first amateur fight in 2010 before he turned professional in 2013.
His February 2023 UFC debut against AJ Fletcher ended in a submission loss, but he rebounded with a unanimous decision win against Takashi Sato despite battling illness.
Inspired by Gorimbo’s resilience, wrestling superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gifted him a Miami house in August.
Gorimbo has committed to charity projects in Zimbabwe, including building a library in his rural village in Bikita.
He aims to win the UFC welterweight championship and headline Africa’s first UFC event.
