Government declares today a holiday

GOVERNMENT has said today is a public holiday.

Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Cde Kazembe Kazembe, said the declaration was made in terms of Section 2(1) of the Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act [chapter 10:21].

According to the minister’s statement, 27 December 2022 is listed in the Schedule of Public Holidays for 2022.

However, he said the list does not include any days that the President may declare to be public holidays in terms of Section 2(2) of the Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act [Chapter 10:21]. — @flora_sibanda.
