Government increases pace in marathon race

OUR motherland’s incumbent Zanu-PF government is increasing the pace of the country’s developmental marathon race by setting up 41 science laboratories in Matabeleland South Province to empower communities in fulfillment of President Mnangagwa’s philosophical pledge that no one and no place will be left behind in development.

The racist colonial government ousted from power by Zanu-PF thumbed its congested long nose on rural communities educationally, economically and otherwise so that missionaries also from beyond many waters set up bases across the country where hospitals, secondary and primary schools were set up to provide health and educational services respectively.

However, those facilities did not cover the whole country 46 years after independence there are areas in provinces other than Matabeleland South where students walk long distances to and from villages to acquire education.

By the time the students sit in their classes they are so tired and lack full concentration in the absorption of subjects taught to empower them with developmental skills in various areas upon leaving schools, with the same fatigue disenabling them to concentrate on homework given.

It is therefore incumbent upon our majority government to run its developmental educational marathon across the entire country in order that our President’s educational development empowerment philosophy of leaving no stone unturned is fulfilled.

What this suggests, in this humble communicologist’s opinion, is that secondary, higher and tertiary education teachers live up to their expectations as imparters of not just theoretical but practical developmental skills for a successful marathon run to make Zimbabwe a better place for all to live in the global village.

Equally important, members of parliament should be part and parcel of the upliftment of their constituencies developmentally by a working hand in-glove with traditional leaders and the masses so that no one and no place is left wallowing in darkness and poverty while their August representatives loose deafening rhetoric in the August house about what the government should do when, in reality, they must help the government of the day in uplifting the lives of the masses they represent as part of national developmental instruments.

Which suggests that no members of opposition political parties should allow themselves to be used against the government in power by foreign enemies either for payment of stooge money or promises to be helped into power against incumbent rulers.

Zimbabwe is our country, which suggests that we should all link arms in making every child of our motherland eat a complete diet of development for all in our God given land so that we may all eat from a fat dish — Zimbabwe.
