Government rebrands information centres

The Government has rebranded information centres as digital centres, a term that speaks to the centres’ purpose.
Speaking during a tour of Magunje Digital Centre ahead of the World Post Day, Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister, Dr Tatenda Mavetera said the centres are offering crucial services.
Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) executive director, Engineer Kennedy Dewera said more digital centres will be set up throughout the country.
Hurungwe Central legislator, Cde Richard Ziki said digital centres are bridging the gap between rural and urban areas.
