Manicaland provincial Governor Chris Mushohwe said the peaceful environment would shame the West that had always wished to see a violent Zimbabwe. “This is our country and we should all respect the leadership. If one party wins and another loses, we still remain Zimbabweans,” he said.
President Mugabe has been calling on Zimbabweans to remain peaceful as the nation gears for the harmonised elections.
But the MDC-T has failed to heed the calls for peace and has been fomenting violence among its supporters and directing it to other parties.
