Government remains committed to developing policies that promote industrial development and improve consumer welfare in the country, Industry and Commerce Deputy Minister, Roy Bhila has said.

He made the remarks in Harare yesterday while presiding over a meeting to discuss the supply chain distribution channel in the economy.

Deputy minister Bhila said there was urgent need to iron out the concerns by manufacturers and retailers in order to ease the turbulences that are currently prevailing. “The Ministry will continue to develop policies that promote industrial development and improve consumer welfare. This growth can however only be achieved if you in-turn support these Government initiatives,”he said.

“My expectation, therefore, is that you will emerge from this important meeting motivated and focused to do much more for the inclusive and sustainable economic transformation and prosperity of our great country,” he said.
