THE Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) examination for Grade 7 got underway on Monday, with candidates sitting for their first paper.
The exam got underway with no incidents reported on the first day.
Zimpaper visited David Livingstone Primary School in Harare, where candidates had already completed the first paper.
Earlier in the morning, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education wished all Grade 7 candidates well as they began the examinations, urging them to remain calm, read each question carefully and give every paper their best effort.
“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education wishes all Grade 7 candidates the very best as they begin the 2026 ZIMSEC Grade 7 Examinations today,” the ministry said.
Parents and guardians were also encouraged to continue providing the necessary support and encouragement throughout the examination period.
“To all our Grade 7 candidates, stay focused, believe in yourselves and do your best,” the ministry said.
